People love yogurt right? Some people eat it often while others eat it every once in a while. But there are good advantages to eating yogurt but there are also some disadvantages to it too.


Over use of it

While eating yogurt can have good benefits to you, eating too much of it can be a issue. It is said in the U.S department that a US citizen is limited 3 cups of  overall dairy per day. People might mix this with using it for one’s own pleasure.

Saturated Fats

Eating foods that contain saturated fats raises the level of cholesterol in your blood. This can put you in a heart disease or type 2 diabetes. Eating yogurt made from whole milk can contain at least 5 grams of saturated fat but yogurt from skim milk contain no saturated fat.

Growth Hormone

Some people use growth Hormones for the cows to grow faster and produce milk faster. They use this before and still use it nowadays in some places. When children consume these things, it could have a harmful effect on them. Effects include early puberty or increase in hormones present in a child’s body.


Good Digestive System

Yogurt is made from bacterial fermentation of milk, something that may boost the digestive system because it produces the same good bacteria as it is produced in the gut. Plus some yogurt contain extra good bacteria known as probiotics.

Immune support

Studies have shown that the extra bacteria, probiotics added to yogurt has enhanced the immune system by fighting more white blood cells or antibodies in the gut.

Yogurt help with workout

People that work out would eat 22 ounces a day (510.291 grams). People who eat this much, mix with their calorie loss 22% more weight and 81% more belly fat than people who diet. They also retained one-third more calorie-torching lean muscle mass, which can help you maintain weight loss.
